Location Recce

A Location Recce is when somebody who is going to be filming/recording in a specific location goes to that location before they begin their filming. This enables them to scout out the location for suitability, and address any lighting or sound issues that they may encounter. As well as this, they can perform any risk assessments that they may need to. However, Location Recce's also mean that the director can check opening times for the location, and also to make sure they are able to shoot there when it is available to use during openings with schedules and other factors like the weather. Not only this, they can prepare extra equipment they may need for example if the location was in a very open, outdoors place, they may need to create wind blockers to make the quality of the final recordings better.
